Steve and Lisa Stem:

Steve and Lisa Stem are native residents of the Bellefonte/Milesburg area. Eagle Valley Personal Care Home, Inc. was made possible because Steve and Lisa saw a need for this service in their hometown.

They have worked to create a homey, comfortable atmosphere. Family-like dining areas, a spacious living room, and a fireplace sitting area are only a few of the ways Eagle Valley helps residents to feel at home. We have been family owned and operated since 1997.

Residents may have their hair cared for at the in-house beauty salon. Meals are prepared on the premises and served in a relaxed atmosphere. The success of Eagle Valley is credited to the caring staff and the satisfied residents who live there. Our mission is to provide the residents of our home with a cost-effective alternative living arrangement.

Benchmark Therapies, Inc. is a therapist owned provider of physical, occupational, and speech therapy services.

We pride ourselves in taking the time to understand our client's needs in order to offer a comprehensive clinical, regulatory, and financial therapy solution.

Working collaboratively with the facilities we serve, Benchmark provides high quality, cost-effective rehabilitation services in personal care, skilled nursing, acute care, and outpatient settings.

Benchmark was founded to better meet the needs of a single nursing home in rural central Pennsylvania. Since those early days, we have expanded our service area across the state of Pennsylvania and are positioned to expand throughout the Mid-Atlantic region.

Through an unwavering commitment to quality and a team of dedicated professionals, the results of our efforts have been an improved therapy experience for all stakeholders - from resident to administrator.

All Benchmark therapists are experienced and dedicated with advanced training in a number of specialty areas. Our high retention rate creates consistency for the clients that we serve, and we have a proven track record of staffing facilities that were historically "hard to staff." Our therapists do not work in isolation. Each facility is directed by a two-tiered system of management which includes an Area Manager and site level Program Manager. In addition, our therapists are encouraged to participate in our Clinical Specialist Program in order to receive and share advanced clinical training.
